Because Altova XMLSpy and Altova MapForce provide deep native support for XML and JSON, they automatically support any industry vocabulary or standard built on those technologies — no plugins, add-ons, or special configuration required. Whether your organization works with financial standards like FpML, healthcare formats like HL7 and FHIR, geospatial data in KML or GeoJSON, or any other XML- or JSON-based dialect, you can edit, validate, transform, and map that data using the same powerful tools you already know.
MapForce extends this support to the world of EDI, with built-in support for all major EDI standards, including EDIFACT, ANSI X12, HL7, PADIS, and others. This makes it easy to map and convert EDI transactions to and from XML, JSON, databases, and other formats — all in the same visual mapping environment.
