CSV export has been one of the most requested features from EIOPA add-in users. Because the add-in follows official reporting specifications, Altova has waited for a standard CSV format to be defined. The Dutch insurance sector is the first to publish such a format, and the EIOPA XBRL add-in for Excel now supports it. We will add support for additional CSV export formats as other authorities and standards bodies define them.
xBRL-CSV Table Constraints is a set of extensions that enable basic but extremely efficient validation checks for reports in xBRL-CSV format.
The EIOPA XBRL add-in for Excel has supported xBRL-CSV Table Constraints since the draft stage, and with Version 2027 it supports the final 1.0 Recommendation published by XBRL International on September 10, 2026.
