Topic: FlowServer parameter as a space

That seems to be a bug to me.

A workaround is to declare a 'space' parameter for the job and reference that in the step parameter, since the job parameter's Default field accepts spaces.

It works! Thank you for this solution!
Kind regards,

Hallo,
How can I insert in a FlowServer job as a parameter a space character?
FlowServer is always removing a space character when a space character for example just typed in this field.
Best regards,

Topic: Failed MapForce job on FlowServer
Posted: Saturday, March 14, 2020 1:53:21 PM
Hello,

Hoping someone can help me.

In our company we have a licensed Altova MapForce2020 and this MapForce is installed on Windows 2019 server.
We need that the created in Altova MapForce mappings will be running automatically and the output XML files should be placed at a folder.
We have installed at the same server the trial versions of Altova FlowServer and Altova LicenseServer to test this.

The mapping of MapForce are deployed to the FlowServer and the job is created in FlowServer. So far so good.
The trial License Server is managing now both licensed MapForce and trial version of FlowServer.

However, running the FlowServer job give the following errors in LOG of FlowServer:

What is wrong with the job? How to fix this problem?

Errors:

Topic: split big output XML to smaller output XML's
Posted: Friday, February 21, 2020 8:17:54 AM
Hi everybody,

With Altova MapForce I have created a desired XML output file (from database input source). But this XML file is too big in size to be used in the import by another application.
Is it possible to split a big output XML file into smaller XML files in Altova MapForce?

How can I do this?

It appears you me your output sample doesn't contain the same data as your input sample, but perhaps the attached example.mfd will help you understand how to use group-by.

Thank you very much! That is what I needed. It works now!
Topic: mapping csv to nested XML

I try to map csv file output to nested XML.
XSD is created like this
1 or more users have netprices of 1 or more products, the products have 1 or more different quantities with their prices.
But Altova MapForce creates a XML output like this
User has product with one quantity and the price, and the same user has the same product with another quantity and the price...
I need to create output XML like this
user1 has netprices of product1 with quantity1 and price1 and product2 with quantity2 and price2 en product3 and so on
user2 has netprices of product1 with quantity1 and price1 and product2 with quantity2 and price2 and product3 and so on
user3 has netprices of product1 with quantity1 and price1 and product2 with quantity2 and price2 and product3 and so on

How to achieve this?
