Topic: Copy XPath Behavior
Posted: Wednesday, November 5, 2014 11:40:53 PM
Is it possible to change the default behavior on XPath copy so that it is not specific to the index of the selected element?

For example:
If I select an element and either Copy XPath in context menu or use the copy button on the XPath/XQuery window I will get:
/ws:Worker_Sync/ws:Worker[16]/ws:Summary/ws:Employee_ID

I always have to change to be (remove index):
/ws:Worker_Sync/ws:Worker/ws:Summary/ws:Employee_ID

Can this be defaulted in Options/Preferences? I upgraded from XMLSpy 2005 and in the older version it did not use indexes. I can understand it can be useful, but there are times I need to see all values (for all elements) for XPath.

Thank you.
