I may have spoken too soon.
It seems the Authentic/Spell checker (web edition) will not work for anyone who is logged in and does not have access to write to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE in the registry.
This is a rather huge problem, since our companys' security policy does not allow users access to modify HKLM.
Does anyone know if this is a reported bug? and how long it will take before a fix is in place ?
Thanks

Thank you for the reply. This almost fixed the problem. After doing some registry snooping here's what I have figured out.
When the spell checker installs it creates it's keys under
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Altova\Spelling and Grammar\Lexicons\...
It also copies all required files including the lexicon files into the correct directory.
Here's the problem: When the spell checker runs it tries to load the config information from
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Altova\Spelling and Grammar\Lexicons\....
The key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Altova\Spelling and Grammar\ is there but empty.
Solution: I copied the registry keys from HKEY_CURRENT_USER to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and voila works like a charm.
Thanks for the help.

I just downloaded the latest Authentic Browser Edition and Spell checker.
I have a html page which runs the authentic editor web browser editition. The editor installs and seems to work correctly. I have also setup the spell checker.
When I click on the spell checker icon, it prompts me with the list of files that are to be installed. I choose a path and click 'install'. A progress bar appears and when it reaches 100% I get the message
"Error Starting Spell Checker: Spell checker is not (correctly) installed!"
We have tried this on three different machines. I have tried cleaning the registry of all previous versions of Authentic and registry entries.
Any thoughts on how to get this working? The older versions of Authentic & spell checker was working.
