Struggling

Hi - hoping someone can help. I am not a programmer, but I have tried to read every help topic to try and get the solution I need - but to no avail. I am looking to edit an XML file that uses an already produced schema. In the XML file is data that I want to delete/remove/clear from the file and then save it down. Reason being it contains sensitive data that I don't wish to send out. I want to keep the "node" header - but clear the information included in it. Is this possible? Any help will be gratefully received. Thanks very much - Mark
