Let's say I have a database record with several text fields (text1 - text5) that I need to map into XML as multiple nodes of <NOTES><NOTE>text</NOTE> ... <NOTE>text</NOTE></NOTES>.

How would one go about doing something like that?

Hi,

It sounds like you need to duplicate the target nodes 5 - or as many - times as you require...

SWEET!

That's non-obvious but perfect!

Would be nice to have an example added to the help specifically asking/answering this question, as I've seen a number of databases that have this type of scenario. Would make it easier to find.

E.g. Mulitple text/comment fields in a source record and the target has a child table of text/comment records - or VV.

Thanks!

For what it's worth, the documentation does describe the Duplicating Input feature, and MapForce comes installed with two example files (ContactsFromPO.mfd and TokenizeString2.mfd) which exhibit the functionality.
