Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to output detailed differencing and show differences within lines. I'm using the correct commandline:

DiffDogBatch -cF CO1.xml CO2.xml -q -mX -dL -dD >result.txt

However in the result.txt i only get the message:

c:\program files\altova\diffdog2005\CO1.xml c:\program files\altova\diffdog2005\CO2.xml different

is this detailed???

Can someone help?

Thanks in advance

Joe

Hello Joe,

Currently I am afraid that it is not possible to get a more detailed report when using DiffDog from the command line, though this is expected to change in one of the future versions.

Hi - The last post on this topic was from 2006. I was wondering if it has changed or is being planned for a change?

I am using:
DiffDog version 2011 rel. 2 sp1, Enterprise Edition (2011020100, Mar 4 2011 01:38:22)

.. and still getting either [different] or [equal].
Please advice.

Thanks!

I'm sure you have read the command line documentation before asking? Is anything unclear about the export option?
