XMLSpy® 2010 contains many additional features to make your everyday XML work more productive, a few of which are listed below.

Send Email

XMLSpy® 2010 integrates seamlessly with your email client and allows you to send any open document and any group of files or URLs from your project window. XMLSpy® 2010 even allows you to send a selection from within a document as an email message.

Once you have selected the item to send, your email application (e.g., Outlook 2000) will automatically pop up a mail window. You can add comments before sending the message.

XMLSpy® 2010 contains over 60 different settings to completely adapt the program to your personal working style.

Above is the file-type setting page, which lets you quickly select different editing preferences on a per-file-type basis. You can also add new file types that you wish to edit with XMLSpy® 2010.

Customize

XMLSpy® 2010 commands and toolbars can be positioned anywhere on the screen in a docked or floating fashion.

XMLSpy® 2010 builds on the huge international success of former versions and continues to fully support Unicode (UTF-7, UTF-8, ISO-10646-UCS-2, ISO-10646-UCS-4) and all major character-set encodings (ISO-8859-x, EUC-JP, ISO-2022, Shift-JIS, Big5, GB2312, TIS), as well as Windows code-pages and archaic formats (e.g., EBCDIC).

You can open and edit XML documents, DTDs, external entities, schemas, and any other XML-compliant file in any supported encoding, and XMLSpy® 2010 will auto-detect the encoding being used. You can also easily convert files to a different character encoding.

Spell Checking

XMLSpy® 2010 offers a built-in multi-language spell-checker with support for English (British, US, Canadian), German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Dutch, Swedish, and other languages. Also included are separate English language medical and legal dictionaries.

Printing

To print any XML document from XMLSpy® 2010, you are offered a multitude of choices for customizing the look of your output. You can easily omit certain kinds of XML components, shrink your document to fit the paper size, or choose to automatically expand all child elements for documentation purposes.
