Oracle Support

Altova XMLSpy® 2012 provides important XML support for data modeling, editing, and server administration for Oracle XML DB and is a must-have tool for Oracle database administrators and developers.

Oracle 9i, 10g, and 11g XML DB Support

Oracle XML DB is a feature of Oracle databases that provides high-performance, native XML storage and retrieval technology. Oracle XML DB provides full support for XML Schema and implements a WebDAV repository interface, which makes Oracle 9i, 10g, and 11g ideally suited for use in conjunction with Authentic® 2012 for building document frameworks (Web-based XML content applications).

Since Oracle databases and XMLSpy® 2012 implement WebDAV, XML files stored inside Oracle 9i/10g/11g can be browsed through the XMLSpy® 2012 WebDAV explorer window shown in the following screenshot:

Browse Oracle XML DB

In addition, XMLSpy® 2012 provides an Execute Query dialog box that allows DBAs to query Oracle XML DB using either Oracle's DBURI or an XPath expression, as shown in the following screenshot:

Search Oracle XML DB

XMLSpy® 2012 provides an easy interface for listing, adding, dropping, and viewing XML Schemas stored in Oracle XML DB. The XML Schemas can also be viewed/edited in XMLSpy® 2012's Schema Design View.
