SAP IDoc Support

Altova MapForce® 2012 allows you to visually map data to and from IDoc, the electronic data interchange (EDI) format of the popular SAP ERP systems.

SAP IDoc (Intermediate Document) is a standard for exchanging messages between applications written for SAP - or between SAP systems and external programs. IDocs provide the interchange mechanism for SAP's Application Link Enabling (ALE) system, and are represented as text files that can be transmitted from one station to another without connecting to the central database. IDoc combines features from EDI with conventional transaction file formats to form a lightweight and fluid data flow infrastructure for interacting with SAP systems.

MapForce supports mapping IDoc to and from a wide variety of file formats including XML, databases, flat files, other EDI standards, Excel 2007+ (OOXML), and Web services.

SAP IDoc requires that configuration files for mapping be supplied by the user. Simply browse to locate this file on your hard drive or server to insert it into your mapping project.
