When you run XMLSpy, MapForce, StyleVision, or UModel inside Visual Studio or Eclipse, the Altova tool uses the native project management of the hosting IDE, which gives you complete and seamless integration into the workflow of these platforms. At the same time, you get all necessary tools and advanced functionality that XMLSpy, MapForce, StyleVision, and UModel are known for – directly inside your preferred IDE.

Additional Microsoft Components for XMLSpy

XMLSpy is designed to interoperate with all XML-related Microsoft technologies. Below are several links to Microsoft download pages for Microsoft products that are not required, but are optional for your use with XMLSpy.

Microsoft XML Core Services (MSXML) 4.0
This is the latest version of the Microsoft XML Parser and XSLT Processor and can be utilized for XSLT transformation within XMLSpy.

SQLXML 3.0

This is the latest version of the SQLXML package, that enables developers to bridge the gap between Extensible Markup Language (XML) and relational data. You can create XML views of your existing relational data and work with it as if it were an XML file.

XMLSpy fully supports SQLXML extensions to XML Schema to define mapping between XML and relational data in SQL Server 2000.

Use this page to download additional components that can enhance your work with XMLSpy® 2012, MapForce® 2012, StyleVision® 2012, UModel® 2012, or Authentic® 2012 Desktop and Microsoft products.

Some of these components are produced by Microsoft and may include a separate license agreement that you will need to read and accept after downloading the component.

The 64-bit version of our software requires a 64-bit operating system (e.g. a 64-bit version of Windows Vista or Windows 7) to operate whereas the 32-bit version of our software can be used on both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows.

If you are using a 64-bit version of Windows (Vista or 7) and intend to work with large XML documents, then the 64-bit version of our software is right for you. However, database drivers and other issues may influence your decision to use the 32 or 64-bit version.
