I’m posting this issue concerning the ‘Sentry Spell Checker’ engine in the hope that someone can help me solve a long standing issue. I still have the issue I’m about to outline after installing the 12,0,0,0 community version of the IE plug-in.
The Authentic plug-in installs correctly. I then click on the spell check button on the plug-ins task bar. The package installation dialog comes up and says ‘This page contains the Sentry Spell Checker engine with an American English lexicon.’ This is the text from the plug-in xml installer file. I then leave the destination folder as the default ‘C:\Program Files\Altova’. After completing the installation I receive the following error:
Error Starting Spell Checker: Spell Checker is not (correctly) installed!
I’ve tried the installation on multiple PC’s. I’ve also tried this using version 11,0,0,0 of the plug-in without success.
I have been able to find an old post about this problem as follows which suggested manually hacking the registry. This does work, but I would like the spell checker to install correctly without the need to manually fix the installation afterwards.

Can anyone help? Thanks in advance…
