Topic: DiffDogg integrating with clearcase
Posted: Wednesday, May 28, 2008 10:14:07 AM
Dear all,
We are currently evaluating both XMLSpy 2008 & DiffDogg for doing the compare & merge of XML files. We use clearcase as configuration management tool. If you have used these products could you please share your experiences:

1) The documentation for XMLSpy 2008, doesn't list Clearcase as one of the CM tool with which it can integrate. Can it not support integrating with clearcase UCM (ClearCase version 2003.06.00)? If it supports it, then there are no command line options for XMLSpy.exe to launch the GUI in compare mode? Any experiences in using this product with clearcase?

2) DiffDogg seems to be nice light-weight product for compare & merge. Again any experiences in integrating with clearcase? And how good is the merge function?

Thanks in advance,
Prasad
