Thank you for your clear answer, Vlad.
I had some further problems relating to (dynamic) tables, and your answer helped there as well.
So I will be putting dynamic tables aside for the moment and will be looking forward to the 2011 edition and its new table features. Hope it will be coming soon.
Thank you again and best regards Jens

Hallo to the forum,
I have been searching in manuals and examples for some time now without result:
Can I use the colspan and rowspan propertis within table cells? The tables are defined as dynamic tables
Code:<td colspan="2" valign="top" line_bottom="1" line_left="1" line_right="1" line_top="1">
I can use values (via valign and border properties in stv) but not a colspan (or rowspan) propertiy in the Stylevision windows.
An answer to a similar question from someone else in this forum was: "use the join icon in table menu" but that does not help here as the table rows and columns are dynamic.
Not possible in Stylevision or is there a way to use these tbale properties, too in an sps file definition?
Best regards Jens

Hi,
I have tried out XMLSpy for working with XML files, and it wrks fine. Now, I tried to convert Word (2003) documents to XML using the "convert from Word" feature but it very seldom works ...
Do I have to change the XMLSpy otions for that? I want to convert from doc in "Code Western (Windows)" to XML UTF-8.
Nearly no xml output can be validated as i.e. "WFC: Legal characters" are complained even in a very simple file that I created just for a test (I could try to post that here (how?) if required).
Thanks for replies in advance Jens
