Which of the various Altova forums is intended to be the forum for questions about general handling of XMLSpy ?

Why yours are ending up in c:\data\Altova\xyz instead of c:\Documents and Settings\[user]\My Documents\xyz must be a system configuration thing.
Is there something in your registry settings that moves user data into c:\data\ instead of ...\[user]\My Documents\ ? Something you had set in an earlier life for an earlier application maybe?
Well I redefined my %MY DOCUMENTS% folder. This is valid in WinXP. However this is not the problem. Assume it would be still: c:\Documents and Settings\[user]\My Documents\
I don't want to get all the stuff in this dir. I want to keep all files e.g. from XMLSpy in a separate folder INSIDE the XMLspy install dir or another user defined dir.
How can I achieve this?
In v2008 this does not occur. This was a clean and tidy file handling of XMLspy.

Whenever I start XMLspy 2009 it creates AUTOMATICALLY a folder + file:
D:\data\Altova\XMLSpy2009\xsl-assignments.xml
My XMLspy installation is however in dir:
D:\AltovaXMLSpy\
When I delete the xsl-assignments.xml file then the next start time it is re-created again.
So why does XMLSpy not create it in its own Install directory? This is somehow annoying.
Is there an option to move/define the creation folder (to preferable XMLSpy install dir)?
Where exactly can I find this setting?

Is there a menu/function to find all existing but unreferenced (Complex)Types in my current XSD schema file tree (=current and imported xsd schema files)?

How can I re-define print header/footer?
I want e.g. place "Page n of m" right of Date+Time in the header and remove the footer. Furthermore I want to display only the filename.xsd WITHOUT PATH.
How can I achieve all this?
Furthermore I would like to print a diagram just with the width that it fits on a page. Is there something like a fit-to-width option when printing?
Currently I have always to fiddle around with percentage zoom values and print preview. This is unconvenient

Assume I have one XSD Schema file with multiple ComplexTypes inside. Now I want to cut one (or some) of these ComplexTypes and put it into a new/existing other, second XSD schema file below a different namespace.
Of cause this should not be done simply textually but the references/associations should be kept.
In the original XSD schema file the new XSD schema file must be imported (if not already). If the type is used in another ComplexType or Element spec then it should become the prefix of the new namespace.
How can I do this (visually-drag-and-drop) in Altova XMLSpy?
Is there at least way for the opposite direction: When MERGING a ComplexType or Element from a second XSD schema file into the current first XSD Schema file?

Assume I installed already XMLspy Enterprise.
Why do I have now to install "Integration package" ?
Which additional features does this package offer? What is included?

Setting your as below should do the trick.
I am really surprised about your snapshot. When I go to my XMLSpy installation here (v2008 sp1) then there are NO such pretty print options on the "view" tab. See snapshot link below.

Which version do you use?
Do I have to enable somewhere else the pretty print?
Maybe I have anewer version. Where are the pretty print settings in v2008?

After loading an XML or XSD source into XMLSpy I want to reformat/indent this code. The indention should be 2 chars and blanks instead of tabs should be used.
Where can I specify these settings and how can I start the reformat operation in detail?

I load a XML doc with some enumerations into XMLspy. Each enumeration line is preceeded with a comment line.
After I loaded it into XMLSpy all comments are grouped together and put at the end of the restriction/enumeration.
Why?
