Hi,

I am unable to open .ump file created in UModel 2009 Enterprise Edition in UModel 2009 Professional Edition.

The error it is throwing is: Diagram layers are not supported in Profession Edition.

Can anybody help me out please?

Thanks,
Shishir

Hi Shishir!

Right - diagram layers are not part of the Professional Edition as you can see in the edition comparison.

If you are in need to continue working with that UMP file in the Professional Edition, please send the file to our support center that we can help you.

Hi Cor,

Thanks for the reply.

Could you let me know the way to open or fix the file to make it open in Professional Edition as it will not be possible for me to send the file to you for reference?

Thanks,
Shishir

Shishir,

you can open your ump file in the Enterprise Edition,
open all diagrams
merge all layers to one single layer per diagram
now this ump file should work in the professional edition too.

If you have many files / many diagrams, you can also automate these tasks by using the COM API or scripting environment of course.
