Hello everyone!

I have a question about the capabilities of XBRL valiation of Altova products. On XML Spy, a semantic error (for example, a calculation rule that is being violated) appears as a warning, but the instance document is considered valid. Now, when using the free AltovaXML 2009 component in Visual Studio, the IsValid method of the XMLValidator class returns "true", even when the instance document contains the calculation error mentioned above. Obviously the XMLValidator class doesn't consider warnings as errors and therefore considers the instance file as valid. My question is: Is there any way for semantic errors (considered only as warnings) to make the XBRL instance document invalid??

Thanks for your time
