I am looking for a solution to converting existing MS Word user documents into either Authentic or using XMLspy. We have a whole documentation library in MS Word. Thus far, I have been tediously copying and pasting paragraph by paragraph into Authentic using a GCApaper stylesheet. I am new to XML and Altova software, but am convinced there must be a relatively seemless way to bring in a Word document complete with text styles. Can anyone offer advice/solutions? Thanks. KC

Hello,
Have you investigated the Import Microsoft Word document... feature of XMLSpy Enterprise and Pro?

Hi,
I have tried out XMLSpy for working with XML files, and it wrks fine. Now, I tried to convert Word (2003) documents to XML using the "convert from Word" feature but it very seldom works ...
Do I have to change the XMLSpy otions for that? I want to convert from doc in "Code Western (Windows)" to XML UTF-8.
Nearly no xml output can be validated as i.e. "WFC: Legal characters" are complained even in a very simple file that I created just for a test (I could try to post that here (how?) if required).
Thanks for replies in advance Jens
