Altova AuthenticAltova Authentic® 2012 is a WYSIWYG content editor that allows non-technical business users to view and edit data in XML documents and relational databases without being exposed to the underlying technology. They simply fill in electronic forms using the word processor-style interface, and their content or query is instantly processed. Authentic is ideally suited as the user interface element of XML-based document frameworks and management-oriented databases.

Note The latest version available for download from these pages is Version 2012 Release 2 Service Pack 1 (v2012r2 SP1). This is a self-contained installer of the complete product, and it is NOT required to have a previous version installed on your machine in order to install this release.

Note License key codes for Altova® Authentic® 2012 Desktop Enterprise Edition can be used to activate English, German, and Japanese versions. You may download either language version and, upon receipt, use your license key code to unlock it.

32 vs. 64-bit Software

Note The 64-bit version of our software requires a 64-bit operating system (e.g. a 64-bit version of Windows Vista or Windows 7) to operate whereas the 32-bit version of our software can be used on both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows.

If you are using a 64-bit version of Windows (Vista or 7) and intend to work with large XML documents, then the 64-bit version of our software is right for you. However, database drivers and other issues may influence your decision to use the 32 or 64-bit version.

Keycodes Required

To activate Altova software for your use, you will need a keycode to unlock the application. If you are a new customer, you can simply download the latest software version, and request a free 30-day evaluation keycode from within the application. Once you purchase a software license, you will receive a production keycode that activates the software with no time-limit. In addition, if you purchase your software with Support and Maintenance, your keycode will also unlock future software releases during your active support period.
