AltovaXML® 2012 makes the same powerful XQuery 1.0 processor in XMLSpy and MapForce available to all our customers for use in their own applications or solutions.

AltovaXML® 2012 is an XML processor that includes engines that drive the award-winning XMLSpy®, MapForce®, and StyleVision® development tools for use in your custom applications. AltovaXML Community Edition is free, while the advanced AltovaXML Reporting Edition requires a paid license. AltovaXML is a single download that includes the following:
- XML validating parser
- XSLT 1.0 engine
- XSLT 2.0 engine (schema-aware)
- XQuery 1.0 engine
- XBRL validation engine
- Chart rendering in XSLT & XQuery (Reporting Edition exclusively)
AltovaXML includes COM, Java, and .NET interfaces so that it can be used from a variety of different applications, and you can also call its functionality from the command line.
