Requirements

Profound C++ knowledge out of 5+ years professional experience with C++
Good skill in Microsoft VC++, MFC and STL
Good English language skills

Desirable

Experience with XML, COM, databases

For this position we offer a minimum salary according to the collective agreement of EUR 2.465 gross/month (14 x per year). Altova is ready to pay higher salaries depending on your actual qualifications and experience. Job Description:

As a member of the QA Team, your challenge is to accelerate the delivery and improve the quality of Altova products used by thousands of customers worldwide. Cooperating with the development and support departments as well as focusing on test planning, execution and automation is part of your responsibilities.

You will:

prepare test plans and test cases
execute test cases and check the results
report bugs via a defect tracking system
verify defects fixed by the development department
automate test cases

Requirements

Working experience of at least 3 years in testing (ideally of MS Windows Software)
Experience (1 year ++) in programming (ideally in Java, .NET or C++)
Experience (1 year ++) with SQL and relational databases (ideally MS SQL Server, Oracle or IBM DB2)
Basic knowledge of shell scripts
Basic knowledge of Linux OS
Strong interpersonal skills and team spirit
Good English language skills (written and spoken)

Desireable

Experience with automatic testing
Experience with Eclipse and MS Visual Studio
Basic knowledge of Mac OS
