Hi island,

thank you for your reply. the issue i am facing with the second solution is that if any of the cells are blank then the output data is shifted. Seems that the heading and actual data mismatched if any cells (row, colum) is blank.

Is anythign i can do to finx this issues?

Anirudhda

island,

Thank you Very much. This is very helpful.

one thing: I am not able to download the file. It says access denied even with my login. Anyways I got the logic and I can replicate it.

Thank you for your time!

Hi,

I have an input document (refer screencap) where column information may shift. Is there any way/ technique available which will allow the map force mapping based on column headings rather than excel column names?

the reason is the input data may keep on changing its location and I want to map the column heading. Please refer screencap for more details.

I am not sure if I am able to explain the requirement correctly.

Hi,

I have two excel documents 1. Input and other 2. Output excel. In between I need to process some data.

whenever the input excel sheet has some black cells those do not get executed. below is the example.

Input excel document
Row Heading : Item Description Quantity
Row 1 Apple Fruit 10
Row 2 Banana 15 - here description is blank
Row 3 Kiwi Fruit 15

when I write a query to compare the description field with "Fruit" if string matches then write "T" or else write "F" in the output excel file.

Row 1 and 3 works fine no issues however for row 2 it does not update any data.

I checked it by debugging it says "0 item(s)" and does not process that particular instruction.

how can I resolve this issue? I am new to Mapforce.

Regards,
AJ
