Hi,
we are new to Mapforce and Mapforce Server. So far we succede in remapping a couple of .csv and .xml.
Now we try to combine two or more identical .xls files in one file. The only samples we find so far are for combining different files.
Is there a way to map similar input files in one Output file.
Sorry for the crappy english.
Kind regards.

Sure. Look at the example mappings MergeMultipleFiles.mfd and MergeMultipleFiles_List.mfd that come with MapForce - the first one uses a wildcard to select the input files, the second uses a file containing a list of file names.
If this does not answer your question, explain more about the structure and contents of your input files and how you want to combine them.

Hi,
thanks so far. I had a closer Look into the samples.
Attached the .mfd I created.
When I try it in MapForce I only have the result from one input file in the list....
I exportet it to the flowforce server to test it their.
The log always tells me the following warning:
Missing root element in Excel output.
What is wrong?
File Attachment(s): Targo_EK_Arbeitsliste_merged.mfd (32kb) downloaded 58 time(s).

If the wildcard matches more than one file, you are trying to create multiple workbooks and worksheets with the same name in the target file. Remove the connections to Workbook, Tabelle1, and Row Number.

Thank you verry much.
That didn't work either. Maybe the lack of base knowledge ist the issue.
Is here any german/english speaking freelancer around who can assist us with smaller project in Mapforce/Mapforce Server and Styleforce/StyleforceServer. Most of the time we work with .csv and .xml. In the future there will bei EDI fileds aswell.
