Hi,

I have two excel documents 1. Input and other 2. Output excel. In between I need to process some data.

whenever the input excel sheet has some black cells those do not get executed. below is the example.

Input excel document
Row Heading : Item Description Quantity
Row 1 Apple Fruit 10
Row 2 Banana 15 - here description is blank
Row 3 Kiwi Fruit 15

when I write a query to compare the description field with "Fruit" if string matches then write "T" or else write "F" in the output excel file.

Row 1 and 3 works fine no issues however for row 2 it does not update any data.

I checked it by debugging it says "0 item(s)" and does not process that particular instruction.

how can I resolve this issue? I am new to Mapforce.

Regards,
AJ

Use the "substitute-missing" function with an empty string constant:

(p.s. this should have been posted in the Mapforce forum)
