Hi,

is it possible to let validate the mapped element types ?

E.G.

type string -> mapped to type string : OK
type string -> int : NOK

If yes, how ?

Thanks a lot in advance,

Michel

If you're referring to MapForce, it will alert you to such problems on attempting to preview output. If you open the attached example mapping and preview output, you'll see the following error.

Quote:
Mapping.mfd: Mapping validation successful - 0 error(s), 0 warning(s)
Mapping.mfd: Execution failed - 1 error(s), 0 warning(s)
Conversion to decimal failed for 'abc'
Related location: "abc"

If this doesn't help, please clarify your requirement.

File Attachment(s):
Mapping.mfd (2kb) downloaded 1,136 time(s).
