Scripting Environment and Forms EditorXMLSpy® 2012 includes an integrated scripting environment and forms editor that allows you to customize your installation of XMLSpy. Scripts, which can be written in JScript or VBScript, are used to access and interact with the XMLSpy API, allowing you to modify and add functionality to your installation of XMLSpy® 2012. The scripting environment provides an interface in which you can graphically design forms while assigning scripts for components in the form, create event handlers, and create macros. These forms, event handlers, and macros are organized into scripting projects, which are then assigned to XMLSpy application projects and can be used in the application. An event handler is executed when its associated event occurs in XMLSpy. Alternatively, a macro created in the scripting environment can be run from within one of the XMLSpy context menus. The scripting environment and forms editor utilizes Microsoft®'s .NET Framework and supports versions 2.0 - 4.0. Numerous .NET assemblies are included by default, and it's easy to add any others you may require.
