MapForce® 2008 supports seamless integration with Visual Studio, Microsoft's premier software development platform.

Altova offers an optional, free integration package for integrating the MapForce user interface and functionality into Visual Studio, Microsoft’s premier multi-purpose development environment.

Now Microsoft developers will have access to the graphical data mapping, conversion and integration capabilities of MapForce directly inside the Visual Studio environment. MapForce autogenerates XSLT, XQuery, and C#/C++ (as well as Java) program code based on these visual designs, allowing developers to immediately integrate MapForce code into their own .NET applications.

MapForce also supports integration with Eclipse.

Please note: To use MapForce and Visual Studio together, you must first download MapForce® 2008 Enterprise Edition or MapForce® 2008 Professional Edition, as well as Visual Studio versions 2005 or 2008. After you have completed those installs, the final step is to install the Visual Studio integration package.
