  • Is it possible to generate a many to one mapping with MapForce?
The 'Duplicate Input' functionality of MapForce offers you the flexibility to create such mappings. Please consult the MapForce documentation for more information on how to use this feature.
  • Is it possible to use a database as a target for a mapping in MapForce?
It is now possible to use a database as a source or target for mappings.
  • Does MapForce support EDI formats?
Yes, EDI formats (EDIFACT, X12, HL7, and SAP IDoc) are supported as a source and target in MapForce.
  • Why is it not possible to generate XSLT from a mapping if a database is used?
It is necessary to generate program code in c++, c# or java as this code will extract the data from the database or write to the database. XSLT alone cannot do this.
  • I have a large mapping which requires intensive horizontal and vertical scrolling. This often causes me to lose my orientation...is there any help which will allow me to determine my exact position in a mapping?
MapForce now includes an 'Overview' functionality which enables you to determine your relative position within a mapping.
  • Is it only possible to generate the result from a database to schema, schema to database or database to database mapping by generating code, compiling it, and then running the resulting application?
MapForce now includes the possibility to also take care of this internally meaning that it is not necessary to generate code in order to obtain the result of a mapping which involves a database.
