Yes, EDI/EDIFACT are both supported as a source and target in MapForce® 2008. - Why is it not possible to generate XSLT from a mapping if a database is used?
It is necessary to generate program code in c++, c# or java as this code will extract the data from the database or write to the database. XSLT alone cannot do this. - I have a large mapping which requires intensive horizontal and vertical scrolling. This often causes me to lose my orientation...is there any help which will allow me to determine my exact position in a mapping?
MapForce® 2008 now includes an 'Overview' functionality which enables you to determine your relative position within a mapping.
- Is it only possible to generate the result from a database to schema, schema to database or database to database mapping by generating code, compiling it, and then running the resulting application?
MapForce® 2008 now includes the possibility to also take care of this internally meaning that it is not necessary to generate code in order to obtain the result of a mapping which involves a database.
