Changing Configurations |
One global resource configuration can be active at any time, and it is active application-wide. This means that the active configuration is active for all aliases in all currently open SPS files. If an alias does not have a configuration with the name of the active configuration, then the default configuration of that alias will be used.
As an example of how to change configurations, consider the case in which a Working XML File has been assigned a global resource with multiple configurations. The Working XML File can be switched merely by changing the configuration of the global resource. This can be done in two ways:
| • | When you hover over the menu command Tools | Active Configuration, a submenu with a list of all configurations in the Global Resources XML File pops out. Select the required configuration. |
| • | In the combo box of the Global Resources toolbar (screenshot below), select the required configuration. (The Global Resources toolbar can be toggled on and off with the menu command View | Toolbars | Global Resources.) |

The Working XML File will be changed immediately.
In this way, by changing the active configuration, you can change source files that are assigned via a global resource. Note, however, that the newly selected files must agree schematically with the SPS in order for the SPS to function correctly.
