Number of characters perhaps? XSLT is not a good tool for this job. XSLT operates on the data model of an XML document, not on the syntax. Things like namespace declarations could have a significant impact on the size of a serialized element, and it is not possible to tell in XSLT how big it will end up. ~Chris - -- Chris Maden, text nerd <URL: http://crism.maden.org/ > America: Land of the ———— and the home of the —————. <URL: http://www.boingboing.net/2009/07/29/us-border-station-sc.html > GnuPG Fingerprint: C6E4 E2A9 C9F8 71AC 9724 CAA3 19F8 6677 0077 C319 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAkp4pnsACgkQGfhmdwB3wxnHGQCfV3h0u84nptY+o2rVaQHc9nZ3 NU4An1qBLo1wOKWQQYbRYKfvNh/F5ZFe =izWt -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --~------------------------------------------------------------------ XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list To unsubscribe, go to: http://lists.mulberrytech.com/xsl-list/ or e-mail: <mailto:xsl-list-unsubscribe@l...> --~-- | ||||||
