Mmh, I didn't follow in depth the actual problem in this thread, but
in XSLT 2.0, the three-arguments key function can reduce the scope to a
subtree in one document. Isn't it?
You're right ... was he using 2.0? (Can't remember now.) In any case,
in that context the statement is wrong, for which I apologize.
It's just a feature of 2.0 keys that I haven't had occasion to use yet. :-)
Nonetheless I probably wouldn't bother with keys in his case, unless
I faced performance issues.
