No. not that. You didn't answer if you were using msxml, I'll assume
that you are. if you are then it has removed the spaces before xslt
starts, so xslt can not preserve them. This is not a bug (that is an
accidental error) it is a deliberate non-conformance that Microsoft
describe as an "optimisation" that makes your files smaller (the fact
that it makes them smaller by throwing away important data isn't so
strongly highlighted) the parser has a flag to stop this which you set
something like doc.preserveSpace=true the exact syntax depending on
which language you are using.
