Don't believe anecdotal evidence. What do you want to compare it with,

XSLT may not have as much uptake as Perl, Javascript, or PHP, but if it's
not in the first division by usage then it's certainly well up the second.
Saxon alone gets around 1500 downloads a week, and I should think it only
has 20% of the market.
