[XML Schema 1.1] Order of openness

Hi Folks,

When declaring open content, the "amount" of openness is determined by the value of the mode attribute:

   <openContent mode="_____">
       ...
   </openContent>

Here is the order of openness:

interleave is greater than suffix is greater than none

Thus, there are only two rules to remember regarding a subtype and its parent type:

    Derive-by-extension: a subtype cannot
    specify openness that is less than its
    parent's openness.

    Derive-by-restriction: a subtype cannot
    specify openness that is greater than its
    parent's openness.

Do you agree?

/Roger
