We are struggling with=0A= the question whether or not elements and attributes in one XML schema shoul= d be in the=0A= same namespace. This is an aspect being discussed as part of the guidelines= that we are developing within our organization. To provide a rationale for= our choice (disregard whether the answer is YES or NO) is important for th= e acceptance and actual usage of the guidelines by our readers (who are XML= developers), more important than the answer itself. Why we are contacting t= his forum, is because we presume that W3C has encountered the same question= s years ago and it would be useless to invent the wheel twice.Best regards,= Nanda=0A= From: mike@s...: nandakol@h...; noah_mendelsohn@u...= CC: xmlschema-dev@w...: RE: Why does the default namespace not app= ly to attributes?Date: Mon, 20 Aug 2007 09:27:45 +0100=0A= =0A= =0A= =0A= =0A= =0A= =0A= =0A= =0A= >Wouldn=92t it be more =0A= intuitive and improve readability to have both of the attributes in a diffe= rent =0A= namespace, instead of one attribute being in no namespace? =0A= The XML Namespaces spec =0A= has been with us since 1999.
