Thanks for the info guys.

I did find another online tool, http://schneegans.de/sv/, that
highlights the line that's in error in my schema. Now I just have to
work out how to correct it! I may be sometime... :)

Cheers,
Steve

Some users have had good luck with the Schema Quality Checker [1]. That

tool does not validate instances against schemas. Its sole purpose is
to
look at your schema, explain any outright errors, and (if I remember
correctly) sometimes to warn you of things that are technically correct =

but suspect. An FAQ about it is at [2].

There are a number of tools for validating schemas (and for validating =

instance documents against a schema) - it's not clear from your message =

which one you are using. It can be difficult to understand the messages =

when you're new to the spec, since the messages will tend to refer to
the
rules that you've broken and some of the rules are very technical. A
good
strategy might be to post your incorrect schema, and the message you are

getting, and asking here for an explanation. You could also consider
installing a tool such as Stylus Studio which gives you a choice of
several schema validators. This can be useful because the error message =

from one product might be clearer than another.

Subject: Schema Validator

Hi,

I'm new to XML Schemas. I've submitted a schema for validation by your =

tool but I can't understand the output. Is it possible to indicate where

in the schema the errors are occurring and possible suggestions for
resolutions?

I know it's a big ask but newbies need the most help.

Thanks in advance,
Steve
