[xml-dev] Copenhagen training details regarding code lists in XML

For those working with XML vocabularies incorporating code lists,
identifier lists or other controlled vocabularies, there is a
hands-on training class on working with related OASIS technologies.

Accommodating instance-level metadata, list-level metadata and
value-level metadata is important when dealing with code lists, and
schema-only approaches with enumerations do not meet many of the
business requirements for maintenance, subsetting and extending code
lists to meet real-world requirements. The OASIS genericode format
and OASIS context/value association format do address these issues.

Two deliveries on different continents are coming up this month, and
the arrangements for Copenhagen as the first of the two are now set:

The location for the hands-on code list training October 20, 2009
(and hands-on UBL training October 21, 2009) has been finalized as:

  Room 023
  Bredgade 40
  1260 Copenhagen K
  Denmark

The code list training materials have all been updated to the latest
public review draft submission made to the OASIS TC Administration for posting.

Registration is still open and there are seats remaining to be picked
up. Please register as soon as possible to ensure your seat.

Details will be posted next week on the same training in Washington
DC the week following Copenhagen.

Thanks!
