It enables you to find out to what extent an XQuery implementation is
conformant to the XQuery specifications.

As such it's largely of interest to XQuery implementors, but if you're
thinking of using an XQuery implementation for which no results have been
published, (or thinking of using it in a different environment from the one
in which results were published, e.g. Saxon on .NET) then it will give you a
feel for how complete the implementation is. It's also useful as a
regression test if you use an open source implementation and make your own
changes.

Note that a 100% score doesn't prove the product is conformant, because the
test suite steers clear of some areas where results are
implementation-defined.
