Thank you all very much for the valuable remarks and reminders
on pros and cons about GXTC.  In particular, thanks to
Michael, Juan, Elliotte, James, David, Mitch, Florent, Tatu
(hope I didn't miss out on any) for the spirited discussions.

I'm going to look through ConciseXML a bit more.  Not trying
to change the world here, but just trying to solve some
technical requirements which, ironically, were generated due
to lots of use of XML.  The "optional" part of ConciseXML
which Juan pointed out appears to allow local tweakings while
maintaining compatibility with mainstream XML (at least on
the end tag specification).  That sounds like music!
