You could specify a thousand if you wanted, you would still have only  
One Schema. All those documents get mixed up and become a single  
grammar.

Either way IDness is an XML notion, not a schema one, or a namespace  
one. It's clearly a notion that could be more clearly defined than it  
currently is, but it's still quite core to XML, which XML Schema  
certainly is not.
