Sorry, it was not ment as a taunt and you are correct it could have been 
worded better. It may be a superior specification, but XSD fits the 
80/20 rule that most people need.   Atom is better than RSS but RSS 
feeds still out number Atom feeds.

Exactly...pick your favorite or least favorite application suite.  MS 
Office vs OpenOffice,  IE v FireFox, Mozilla, Opera, Safari, etc.
