XML Master Class Series --
IDEAlliance in its continued efforts to provide groundbreaking services to the
XML community are introducing the XML Master Class Series the first of which
will be held at XML 2005.  The Master Class Series brings together
successful XML use cases presented by users and industry experts to provide
insight and practical guidance into today's XML standards, technologies and
practices. IDEAlliance is highlighting users that have successfully deployed
XML technology in either a document-centric or XML web services environment. In
a public session users will describe their applications and get direct feedback
from industry experts. Examples of topics that may be discussed: Security;
performance; scalability; Applicability of new standards; tools and
technologies; Compatibility and interoperability issues and pointers, and Managing
and maintaining vocabularies. Two users confirmed include: Farrukh Khan, Ohio
State University Medical Center and Jeff Shick, American Society of Hospital
Pharmacists.<o:p></o:p>

XML Authoring Panel -- This
session features a panel of XML Authoring Vendors and XML experts.  The XML
Authoring Vendors demonstrate traditional XML authoring tools and
environments.  Alternative methods for authoring XML content are also  demonstrated.
Discussions about XML environments and appropriate authoring methodologies are discussed.

others to be announced; Alternative Authoring: Dale Waldt, Axtiveminds, Kevin

Chaired by Michael Champion, Microsoft Corporation, this multi-session panel
discussion focuses on the challenges faced by those who need to process XML
more efficiently than the current state of the art allows. Advocates of different

optimization have been invited to present their views and debate one another.
