Re: [xml-dev] Tamino status

I wasn't going to tip my hand but ... keep your eyes on XML.com. I spent
a good part of the last year surveying native XML database companies
about real-world use cases and writing an article about the results.
About half the companies participated, including most of the major
players. The article should be published sometime in the (near?) future.

The article was interesting for me because, while I have a good handle
on how native XML databases work technically, I was pretty clueless
about actual applications. One of the pleasant surprises was the number
and variety of applications that showed up, especially ones where
well-known companies were using native XML databases, sometimes in
mission-critical applications.
