John I've modified osloader.xsl (within winload.exe.mui), but only simple changes like changing the boot text (eg the 'Starting Windows Vista' message or the text on the 'Advanced Boot menu'), nothing more sophisticated. I don't see why not though, since it's a notepad editable, xsl stylesheet format resource. If you know a bit of css / Html / xml, then it's layout is pretty similar. If you Google for "xsl stylesheet", you'll probably come up with some good tutorials. The usual way to have a graphical bootscreen, is to modify the bitmaps in the .wim resource of winload.exe, and add them to winload.exe.mui. But what you're doing sound like an interesting approach. Let us know how you get on. -- Jon | ||||||
