My suggestion is to define a global parameter that you set before you run the transformation. You would do that from outside of the XSLT with the API the XSLT processor of your choice offers. For instance with Microsoft's XslCompiledTransform you would define an XsltArgumentList instance, add the parameter and pass that XsltArgumentList object to the Transform method of the XslCompiledTransform instance. > <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" > xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" > xmlns:date="http://www.cafeconleche.org/ns/date"> > > <xsl:script > implements-prefix="date" > language="javascript"> Is there an XSLT processor that supports an xsl:script element? I don't know. But that is certainly not the suggestion I made. Which XSLT processor exactly do you use? -- Martin Honnen --- MVP XML http://msmvps.com/blogs/martin_honnen/ | ||||||
