.NET doesn't support 2.0, there are plans to but no times set as yet.
The features I think would be most useful are the string and regular 
expression functions such as matches and tokenize.

There is also the XSLT element xsl:analyze-string.

However I don't know GDI+ so for more definite examples you'd have to show 
the source XML and what the equivalent C++ code would look like.
