You might serialize the result tree to HTML which has form "controls" like the input, select, textarea, button elements. Server side event handlers sounds (maybe) like ASP.NET which also knows server side controls in its page model. But XSLT as said usually generates HTML sent to the client, it is not parsed on the server to have ASP.NET controls. So as long as we have to guess where/how you use/want to use XSLT exactly I am not sure what the answer is.
