It *cannot* be a problem with XSL if your java code is parsing the XSL
file in the same way. This is because the resultant javascript code is
unrelated to the way used to create it - it's just text content, and
if the generated text is "wrong" then it will fail to run.

You need to compare the output (View->Source) and decide what's
different about the javascript that's created, because it *will* be
different and failing because of that. 

Check the bit where "my code is like this" and compare it to what's
generated when you run jre1.5 - and make sure to turn on error
reporting in the browser rather than trying to guess "what's wrong".
