It doesn't. Your original code didn't include any URIs. The error seems to be IE objecting to the fact that you are trying to open an XML document whose address is 'file:///C:/Documents and Settings/RB/INTERFACE/... [something which you did not complete here]. Move the whole lot to a new folder called C:\xmltest and do it from there. It may be the spaces in "Documents and Settings" which is causing the problem.
